At the same time tickets for their summer tour in Latvia went on sale and were very much sought after. Tour dates for summer were:

25th July – Jelgava
31st July – Ventspils
15th Aug. – Valmiera
29th Aug. – Riga

Brainstorm wanted to have a great feel and atmosphere for this summer tour and an impressive stage setup with original video content by the bands drummer Kaspars Roga was bought to life with 2 x Hippotizer V4 Boreal Media Servers.

The Stage screen setup consisted of 10 LED walls (each in different size ranging from 5 to 100 sq. meters) built around 5 truss structures representing 5 urban buildings. Overall stage/screen width – 50m. A total of 470 sq. m of LED screens was provided by PRO 1 STAGE for the concert in Jelgava. “All LED screens were mapped to 3 Full HD outputs (50Hz) with the overall content size of 3616×1104. With 3 different types of LED screens (ROE MC7H, ROE MC12F and Absen A7), VideoMapper was very useful to get correct part of content to correct LED processor.” said Andrejs Mefodovskis from PRO 1 STAGE.

2 Boreal servers (running v4 latest beta) – one as main, second as backup were used in place of what would previously have taken several Hippotizer HD’s. The V4 Boreal’s were controlled with MA2 console trough ArtNet and specially designed video content was supplemented with two live camera feeds – two HDSDI inputs were mapped on screens in different layouts. Part of the content was made with alpha channel to allow integration of live feed while others used Hippotizers effect engine to merge content and camera feeds. Content was rendered as PNG sequences (with Alpha) and then encoded to FlexRes performance.

Andrejs added “The built in Visualizer was used at the beginning of show programming and was great for the workflow and seeing the concept come to life. We also used some of the great effects during the live show”
