It also demonstrates that Hippotizer is undoubtedly the American industry’s favorite media server for a variety of applications, all the way from live video and playback to highly creative, spectacular productions. Hippos were widely used in New Orleans; from the Pepsi Halftime Show featuring Beyoncé to a variety of events including the NFL main stage and press conferences, the Pepsi Smash Tailgate Party, the Direct TV Beach Bowl, and the Budweiser NFL Festival.

The Halftime Show, lauded as one of the best ever, began with geometric patterns of multiple images of Beyoncé, displayed on WinVision 9mm LED panels built into a custom articulating floor by All Access. During the performance the floor raised to form a video backdrop. The video images were synched with the live show via Hippo’s time-code component.

Programmed on GrandMA 2 by Jason Rudolph of Mobius Productions, with video content by Andy Jennison of Breathe Editing, a single Hippotizer HD drove the entire LED floor system.

“Hippotizer makes everything easier,” says Rudolph. “We insist on Hippo for ultra-demanding events such as this. Hippos were everywhere in New Orleans, not only for our Halftime Show but also on shows all over town, from blending video playback with live cameras at the NFL press conferences to driving amazing 3D projections on entire buildings. Hippo is now the go-to creative playback device, underpinned by the excellent 24/7 support from TMB and Green Hippo.”
