Pixel Mapper 3D
LED Lighting has become immensely popular for live entertainment over the last few years. And Hippotizer has kept pace with this technology from day one with PixelMapper, which is now integrated into Hippotizer V3.
PixelMapper is an easy to use Plug-in allowing operators to define the size of their LED 'grid', position standard fixtures within that grid from the onboard library and even design custom fixtures from scratch. Once the patch is designed and loaded, the Hippotizer will convert the pixel colour and intensity into DMX values and output them via the ethernet port as ArtNet data. Even with low resolution LED screens, the effects can be stunning. And to assist the user, Hippotizer now comes preloaded with a selection of clips which work well in this environment. Controlling LED fixtures using video instead of a traditional lighting console enables the designer to program thousands of fixtures simultaneously with very complicated chases, patterns and effects using a single command on the desk, or Hippotizer Control Centre, a daunting task if you were programming the chases by hand.
PixelMapper also has some unique and innovative features:
- No restriction on number of DMX Universes.
- SuperSampling with adjustable parameters help to average out the colour and intensity of a group of pixels for low resolution LED arrays providing better representation of the media.
