Green Hippo sponsors Three Peaks Challenge

As a Hippotizer enthusiast can you spare £10...£5...£1? For a good cause?

Green Hippo is proud to be sponsoring a charity event to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. The event, organised by Jack Williams involves more than 30 amateur trekkers taking on the famous National 3 Peaks Challenge - trekking 26 miles, in 3 different British countries, up 3 different mountains, climbing around 9000ft all within 24 hours.

There are over 900 subscribers to HippoWire so if half of you pledge £5 we could raise over £2,000 for a good cause. And we'll be extra generous with the beer on our PLASA stand for those who get involved

“It just seems logical to try and raise money for Marie Curie doing something that I and obviously a lot of other people really enjoy. I am aware that everyone involved on the summit and ground teams have in some way been touched by cancer at some time” said Jack.

“It started with just half a dozen of us and it grew from there, people were so keen to be part of this I could easily have taken a team of hundreds! It’s a really tough challenge and it is so important to be fit because even though all of the participants have their own personal reasons for taking the challenge, we are a team and more of us will succeed if we help each other.”

Green Hippo have sponsored the clothing for the team and some Green Hippo family members are working as support on the challenge.
