Serbia's PINK TV has been kitted out with Green Hippo media servers

Studio Berar, the leading company for distribution and installation of video, audio and lighting products in the Balkan region, has just completed another major project with their longstanding partner, manufacturer Darklight Technologies. Together they have installed new LED screens and media servers at PINK TV studios which will be used for current productions and also for outdoor shows and events.

Studio Berar project managed, delivered and installed all 55 square meters of LED screen and GrassHopper media server. The premise for this project came from the success of a similar project some 2 years ago when Studio Berar delivered 160 sq meters of LED and 2 x Hippotizer Stage media servers for ‘Grand Show’, a popular Serbian TV contest show.

When asked why Hippotizer media servers were chosen, Slobodan Veckalov Studio Berar Executive director said:

“Because PINK television had such success with Grand Show and found the media servers easy to use and reliable, they wanted to go with the same manufactures. So, this time, we recommended GrassHopper with eight layers and a maximum output resolution of 1920x1080.”

Additionally, Studio Berar carried out intensive training for all PINK television technicians who will be operating the system. 

“We wanted to make sure that everyone using the equipment is aware of the flexibility of GrassHopper media server with numerous input options and a range of affects and manipulation that can be achieved with PixelMapper, ScreenThief, Keystone, ScreenWarp, TextManager, UberPan, LiveMask ...and other installed options.”
