A couple of us Hippo Folk had the chance to spend some time at Scharff Weisberg's HQ in Long Island City NY in June 05. I (James) was quite daunted by the prospect of visiting their premises as they are widely regarded as the company sharpening the cutting edge when they crop up in conversation. But despite their obvious clout in the industry their friendly and accomodating approach to business soon had us feeling at home. Lars has a soft-spoken manner which belies whats going on in his head. We went through a few of their forthcoming projects and its evident that companies like SW are going to keep our developers busy for as long as we can meet their (polite) demands. A special thanks to Lars for taking time on a day off to give us his thoughts.

As dealers and suppliers of products from most of the industries major players we consider the establishment of a good working relationship with the manufacturer paramount. Clearly the folks at Green-Hippo feel the same way. The tech support has been nothing short of superb including emergency shop visits and all-hours-of-the-night phone support when needed. Scharff Weisberg has a reputation as a successful solutions provider for the atypical jobs which usually require somewhat atypical device functionality. Again, the folks at Green-Hippo have not disappointed – happily complying with all our requests for slight software/hardware modifications. That kind of support makes it easy to specify their products. We look forward to a long and prosperous association with Green Hippo.
