Name of Project(s) related to Hippotizer: Eurovision 2007, Hanoi Rocks, plenty of tv- work
Date used: Since I was young(er).
How would you best describe yourself?
LD / Set designer / Screens designer for tv, opera, theatre, dance, rock and roll, etc.
How did you first hear about the Hippotizer?
Through Johan West, the center of all evil
Did you specify the Hippotizer or was it supplied to you?
I specified it as soon as I knew I can get my hands on a LED wall and a Hippo
Have you used other media servers before you encountered Hippotizer?
I have been briefly introduced to other brands, but I’m certainly not someone you should ask to compare them.
Which Model of Hippotizer are you using?
At the moment I have a Hippoportamus ( I used to have a v2 HD), but I use everything from a single Critter up to complex HD systems. Depending on the production.
How are you displaying the media?
Conventional projection, LED screens, creative LED screens (I guess this goes for odd shapes) and pixelmapping for special installations such as Chromlech Jarag -walls
What display mode are you running (single/dual/pan)?
All
Are you using Pixel Mapper on the project?
Yep. Pixelmapping changed the world as we know it.
What features of the Hippotizer do you like most?
The system is super easy and fast to operate. When you put it together with a GrandMa console, there’s really no better way of getting creative with your content. Screen warp, softedge, relaying layers, live input, screen thief, the list is embarrassingly long really.
What features would you like to see in future versions?
Pre-visualizing the screens and your whole Hippo setup and content pixel to pixel in 3D real time rendering “Virtual Hippo”
