As an approved Christie Digital house, with a heavy leaning towards Christie’s MicroTile display solutions, AViary’s powerful screen management system and on-board VideoMapper software met all the requirements when Alchemy looked to standardise their playback solutions.
After using and testing out the flagship Par4Keet Player from the Aviary range on their stand at The Visual Merchandising & Display Exhibition this April, they decided that the Aviary range was right for them.
“We’re a somewhat unique company in that we aim to excel with video playback from the standpoint of content design, content production and playback, right through to process to the final installation.” said Alchemy Expo’s Leighton Stacey. “We demand high level encoding, realtime processing and complete flexibility with regards to creative display setups. We considered many options but on seeing the way AViary Video Tools gave us everything we needed during every step of the process without compromise, we knew we had to have BlueBird. Our only regret is not having embraced AViary earlier!”
Alchemy Expo have added two systems to their internal rental fleet for use by their exhibition division and have already put them through their paces on several corporate events for major clients in the retail sector.
“We tried to push the boundaries a little with the BlueBirds straight out of the box on their first major project. Their ability to munch ultra-high resolution media with ease gave us the confidence to dive in further and they allowed us to be creative in full knowledge that they could cope, even with a high number of displays and several Datapath X4s in the rig. We like them. We like them a lot.”
Alchemy have also added a BlueBird as the core video playback solution for their in-house demo suite at their Cardiff headquarters.
“We want to show our retail installation customers and exhibition clients that we can provide a complete solution from design to build. BlueBird is an important part of this process and we’re already talking to several key clients about incorporating Green Hippo technology into many of the prestigious projects that lie ahead.”
