The conference was much anticipated and Samsung wanted to make sure that the much anticipated ‘reveal’ would live up to expectations; therefore there was much pressure to make sure the video playback would be crisp, smooth, seamless and high definition, reflecting the qualities of their new flagship models.
Both of the new phones boast beautiful craftsmanship, amazing performance, better cameras and are the thinnest smartphones that Samsung has ever created. However, it was the Galaxy S6 edge – thanks to its unique dual curved screen – that was a big surprise.
MJ from Idea Factory knew just the Media Server for the job. He used the Hippotizer V4 Boreal, to play back 3096 x 792 px movie clips using the Green Hippo FlexRes Performance HQ codec.
The high resolution content was play backed across a 21m X 5m (6mm LED screen). He said “I was really happy with the playback quality; it is better than any other media server I have used”
